Senior Commercial Underwriter
He started his insurance career with Eagle Star in 1987 and since has worked at Provincial, Axa, NFU Ltd, NFU Bonus and now Ecclesiastical since 2003.
He has always worked in underwriting and is CII qualified (Dip CI), and has recently begun an NVQ level three with an insurance underwriting and processing bias.
Paul’s role covers all aspects of the underwriting process from new business quotations, endorsements and renewals. He takes referrals from other members of staff and has responsibility for overseeing the local branch audit. He is also a part time team member of the office pub quiz team whose speciality is history and obscure useless facts.
He has paintballed in his younger days - shades of the 'Deerstalker' - and regularly participates in role-playing games (fairies and monsters to the ignorant!) and war gaming (toy soldiers with rules). If he could choose a superpower, he would select the ability to read other people's thoughts whenever the fancy took him.....
